Dyeing of wool and polyamide fibers:
Dosages vary from case to case, depending on the tone of the dyes and therefore on the
percentages of the dyes used: for light colors it is used from 2 to 3.5% for dark colors from 0.8 to
1.5%.
Dyeing of wool and / or polyamide with cellulosic fibers:
It is a specific reservoir for dyeing called “mezzalana” as it avoids the rise of direct dyes on the wool
or polyamide fibers.
The doses of use are between 0.8 – 2.5% depending on the percentage of colors used.
Post-treatment of protein and / or polyamide fibers:
DAYFAST 495 is useful for increasing the wet, sweat and sea water fastness of dyes with acid dyes
made on wool or polyamide
You can add the product in the dye bath already exhausted 1.5 -3% for 15 ‘at 50/60 ° C for more
delicate items decrease the temperature and increase the permanence.
In the case of dyeing not completely exhausted, it is used in a new bath with 1.5-3% of DAYFAST 495
1-2 cc / L of acetic acid or 0.5-1 g / L formic acid 85% for 30 ‘at 70 ° C.

DAYFAST 495 improves the solidity of printed items and prevents replicas and the influence of light
backgrounds. After soaping, treat with 2 -4 g / L of DAYFAST 495 in a slightly acidic environment pH
5 for 10 ‘at 30-40 ° C.
The product is incompatible with most auxiliary products used in dyeing. If it is necessary to use it
with other products, it is advisable to carry out preliminary tests and / or eventually contact our
technical service.
